Athletic Mouthwear

Although staying active is an important part of keeping healthy, it’s essential to protect yourself from possible injury. Oral injuries, such as a broken tooth or dislocated jaw, can occur at any time while you’re out on the field. To keep your teeth and gums protected from an accidental blow, you should wear a protective mouthguard.

Portrait Dental in Liberty Village is proud to offer UnderArmour™ Performance Mouthwear which are custom-made mouthguards to protect your mouth and increase your performance. The mouth guards work by using special bite tech technology that stops teeth clenching while you are training or competing. Teeth clenching is harmful since it can wear down your chewing surfaces and cause stress which can decrease your overall performance. By preventing teeth clenching, your body stays more relaxed and you’re able to perform at a higher level.

UnderArmour™ Performance Mouthwear is suitable for just about any sport including gymnastics, basketball, football, martial arts, tennis, and rugby. Whatever your favourite sport is, our athletic mouth wear can keep your mouth protected and take your performance to the next level.

Compared to store-bought mouthguards, which can be overly bulky to wear, ours are custom-created to fit your unique bite. During your consultation, the dentist will create impressions of upper and lower teeth and send these to a dental lab to create your customized mouth appliance. Once your appliance is ready, which usually takes about 10 days, you’ll return to our office to pick it up. Simply put, our athletic mouth wear offers the best protection and comfort for your mouth.
